Job Description - Registered Migration Australia

 

The job of an equipment hire manager in Australia is to develop and maintain control procedures for both hired equipment and company or government owned unit load devices. Hire of plant and equipment, and/or allocation of transport deliveries, construction, metal or hardware industries and maintenance of equipment inventory.

 

This unit group covers Hospitality, Retail and Service Managers not elsewhere classified. 
It includes Boarding Kennel or Cattery Operators, Cinema or Theatre Managers, Facilities Managers, Financial Institution Branch Managers and Equipment Hire Managers.

 

 

Skill Level

Most occupations in the equipment hire manager unit group (Group 1499) have a level of skill commensurate with the qualifications and experience outlined below. 

In Australia: 
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) 

In New Zealand: 
NZ Register Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) 

At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification. 

 

Registration or licensing in Australia may be required as an equipment hire manager.

  • OET result with a minimum grade B in all sections;
  • TOEFL iBT with a minimum score (L:12 R:13 W:21 S:23 overall L93);
  • PTE Academic with a minimum score of 50 (L, R, W), 65 in speaking and 65 overall

  • Countries exempt from submitting IELTS or OET include the UK; Canada; New Zealand; US; and Ireland

 

Where mandatory licensing or registration is required you must demonstrate a level of English either sufficient to meet licensing / registration or a minimum IELTS, or equivalent, whichever is higher.
