Job Description - Registered Migration Australia


The job of a management consultant in Australia is to assist organisations to achieve greater efficiency and solve organisational problems, and study organisational structures, methods, systems and procedures.

 

Note: ICT Business Analysts are excluded from this unit group. ICT Business Analysts are included in Unit Group 2611 ICT Business and Systems Analysts.

 

Tasks

  • assisting and encouraging the development of objectives, strategies and plans aimed at achieving customer satisfaction and the efficient use of organisations' resources
  • discussing business and organisational shortcomings with clients
  • analysing and evaluating current systems and structures
  • discussing current systems with staff and observing systems at all levels of organisation
  • directing clients towards more efficient organisation and developing solutions to organisational problems
  • undertaking and reviewing work studies by analysing existing and proposed methods and procedures such as administrative and clerical procedures
  • recording and analysing organisations' work flow charts, records, reports, manuals and job descriptions
  • preparing and recommending proposals to revise methods and procedures, alter work flows, redefine job functions and resolve organisational problems
  • assisting in implementing approved recommendations, issuing revised instructions and procedure manuals, and drafting other documentation
  • reviewing operating procedures and advising of departures from procedures and standards

 

Skill Level
Most occupations in the management consultant unit group (Group 2247) have a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).

English Requirement

 

  • IELTS result with a minimum score of 6 (L, R, W), 7 in speaking and 7 overall;
  • OET result with a minimum grade B in all sections;
  • TOEFL iBT with a minimum score (L:12 R:13 W:21 S:23 overall L93);
  • PTE Academic with a minimum score of 50 (L, R, W), 65 in speaking and 65 overall

  • Australian Graduate exceptions apply in some states/territories
  • Priority Skilled Lists may apply a specific requirement in some states/territories
  • Countries exempt from submitting IELTS or OET include the UK; Canada; New Zealand; US; and Ireland

 

Where mandatory licensing or registration is required you must demonstrate a level of English either sufficient to meet licensing / registration or a minimum IELTS, or equivalent, whichever is higher.
